Rita Ora’s second album might finally have a release date and a title

More than six years after the release of her debut, Rita Ora’s second album finally – FINALLY! – seems to have a title and release date.
The artist had suffered a number of record label troubles for several years, leaving her taking up various TV and film jobs to stop herself being forgotten in the meantime.
But her second era proper has been going reasonably well so far: Your Song, Anywhere (**BANGER**) and For You both did big business in the charts, although latest cut Girls was an all-round mis-step.
Now, with a new single set to arrive at the end of the month, it appears as though a title and release date has finally leaked.
Whispers currently suggest the record is titled Phoenix – appropriate – and will be out on November 23.
The album is already displaying on HMV’s website, along with this interesting artwork.
Rita’s first album, Ora, hit No1 back in August 2012; eventually earning a Platinum certification from the BPI.
Since then she’s had multiple false-starts at a second album era, with I Will Never Let You Down, Poison and Body On Me all resigned to having that fateful tag of ‘non-album single’ for one reason or another.
She’s now signed to Atlantic UK and new tune Let You Love Me is due in a week or two.
