Kylie Minogue has got the Glastonbury ‘Legends slot’, apparently

Remember a while back when Emily Eavis said a “female” who is “not British” would take the Legends slot at Glastonbury in 2019? It’s Kylie Minogue, apparently.
After much speculation that also roped in Madonna and Janet Jackson, it’s the eternally incredible Kylie who has got the job, according to The Sun.
If true, her appearance will come 14 years after she was booked for a headlining gig but had to pull out following her cancer diagnosis.
“Kylie had to pull out of Glastonbury in 2005 just a month before she was due to appear so this performance will be a very emotional and poignant moment for her,” a source told The Sun.
“She jumped at the opportunity to appear next year and it is the perfect way to celebrate her career.”
Kylie’s got her own solo tour on the go at the moment, following the chart-topping success of her latest album Golden.
Other recent ‘Legends slot’ performers have included Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie and Barry Gibb – Kylie is younger than them by quite some distance.
Glastonbury had a year off in 2018 but will be back next summer. No headliners have been announced yet but the most important thing is that ABBA have said they aren’t doing it 🙁
