Captain Marvel hype finally kicks off with Brie Larson EW cover and interview
Here she fucking comes: Brie Larson has teased Captain Marvel’s MCU arrival with a new Entertainment Weekly cover.
The Oscar winner had teased some kind of reveal when she asked the publication on Twitter yesterday if they fancied “breaking the internet”.
Sure enough, #CaptainMarvel is now trending.
The 1990s-set solo movie will finally introduce us to Carol Danvers, reportedly the most powerful superhero in the MCU.
Larson says in the accompanying interview: “She can be aggressive, and she can have a temper, and she can be a little invasive and in your face.
“She’s also quick to jump to things, which makes her amazing in battle because she’s the first one out there and doesn’t always wait for orders. But the [not] waiting for orders is, to some, a character flaw.”

Co-director Anna Boden added: ”What makes her special is just how human she is.
“She’s funny, but doesn’t always tell good jokes. And she can be headstrong and reckless and doesn’t always make the perfect decisions for herself.
“But at her core, she has so much heart and so much humanity — and all of its messiness.”
Captain Marvel is out next March, and will be followed by Avengers 4 – in which she also features.
