Ronan Keating has implied Boyzone’s upcoming music will have a surprisingly urban feel.
The hitmaker explained that the change of tone is a result of Shane Lynch taking a more prominent role in the quartet’s artistic direction.
“Shane has been working so hard, there has been a lot of Shane influence rather than Boyzone,” he told the Daily Star.
“He’s from an urban background with his style and taste in music, and that’s been a huge influence on this record and our music.”
He added: “The album will be out either this year or next, we’re trying to get it finished, it’s been really enjoyable.”
The band – also comprised of Keith Duffy and Mikey Graham – will mark their 25th anniversary in 2018.
